First Appointment

If you are only interested in cosmetic dentistry, we offer a cosmetic consultation to all new patients. During the consultation we will discuss your cosmetic options for creating the smile you’ve always wanted. Otherwise for general dental patients, at your first visit, all areas of your mouth will be thoroughly examined. This process will include a detailed examination of the teeth, soft tissue, supporting structure alignment, bite and more. A complete set of x-rays will be taken and models of your teeth will be made if necessary. All the information that we obtain will be carefully evaluated so that we may accurately assess your dental needs.

Hygiene Appointment

The CORNERSTONE of Optimal Dental Health

After your examination, you will be ready for the preventive oral hygiene session. This is a 1-hour appointment where our hygienest takes the time to make sure your teeth are spotless! Our EXCELLENT HYGIENEST is a professional dedicated to your receiving maximum longevity from your natural dentition.

At this time, you will have access to the latest theories and techniques for controlling dental disease. Specific approaches will be recommended for your individual needs, and the latest products will be discussed. Preventative products such as the ROTADENT or Topical Fluoride are recommended for patients with higher maintenence requirements.

At this appointment your teeth and oral structures are evaluated and any issues are noted. It is important to understand the correlation between periodontal health and cardiovascular disease. We recommend at least 2 hygiene visits annually to maintain ideal oral health.

We consider this session to be one of the most valuable services we offer to our patients.

Treatment Conference

Dental Evaluation and Plan for Treatment:

After your preventative appointment, we will explain your dental evaluation and plan for treatment. Immediate needs will be addressed as well as long term objectives. Long-term prognoses will be discussed, and an ideal treatment plan will be constructed. Points of flexibility will be indicated where alterations in the plan may take place. It is our goal to provide the best dental care, while being sensitive to financial needs.

Once your treatment plan has been developed, a treatment work schedule will be put into place. Appointments from this point on will require confirmation to allow the proper length of appointment with the appropriate treatment provider. Conmmunications may be with e-mail, phone or text to protect your appointment time.
